"Re-Opening Our Doors" - Post Lockdown Plans

The time is coming and we're getting ready.

We don't want to jump the gun, but it looks like soon we might all be able to meet up once again!

In anticipation of which, the Organisers have started contacting Hosts and Venues for future events.

The intention is to start slowly, working closely with our Venues, with a limited programme of hosted events and with reduced capacity.

Given the uniquely social nature of our events, there will be a safety-first approach. Which is not to say that hosts will be "policing" you all, but they will be there to field your questions and work with the venue.

Some specific requirements that we anticipate, which will be clearly posted on each event as it is added to LondonOnBoard.com and Meetup.com/LondonOnBoard, are as follows:

  • We would ask that you are either double-vaccinated or have had a negative Lateral Flow Test in the last 24 hours. Again, no one is enforcing this but we ask you to think of others.

  • Please stick to any rules which the venue has, especially in relation to COVID-19 safety.

    • If you need clarification please ask the Host or the Venue staff.

    • If you have any concerns, complaints or argument with their rules please raise them with the Host not with the Venue staff.

    • The Host will pass them to the Organisers and we will speak to the Venue if necessary.

  • Please follow any instructions given by the Venue staff. Both for the safety and comfort of others, and because we really need our Venues.

  • We ask that you stick very closely to our LoB Rules at this time, and especially the following (paraphrased):

    • RVSP - Do not turn up to an Event if you do not have a spot reserved on the corresponding Meetup Event. Even if someone at the Event contacts you to say it's sparsely attended or there's plenty of room.

    • Venues - Respect the rules of the venue (see above)

    • General Conduct - This extends for now to if you have a cough, a cold, or some other symptom which might make other players anxious or uncomfortable, please consider not attending. It's probably best for you to stay and home and get better anyway.

  • If you are not comfortable with these additional rules, the rules of the Venue or instructions from Venue staff, we would ask you to you either not attend in the first place or leave the event.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, and keep your eyes peeled for more updates on:
